Dr ELIZABETH BAIGENT, reader in the history of geography at the University of Oxford will give a talk entitled Octavia Hill : Housing reformer and founder of the National Trust. Dr Baigent has co-edited a recent book entitled ‘Nobler imaginings and mightier struggles : Octavia Hill, Social Activism and the Remaking of British Society’.

Lectures are held on Wednesday evenings at 1930 in the Grosvenor Museum lecture Theatre.

Lectures are free to members of Chester Civic Trust and guests are welcome: £5 on the door.
